In 1940, Universal Pictures, having managed to come up with three films increasingly loosely based on H. G. Wells’ SF/horror classic The Invisible Man, pushed the concept just a little farther with The Invisible Woman, starring Virginia Bruce as Kitty Carroll, a fashion model who has her own reasons for not wanting to be seen.

— especially women, it seems
— wonder what it would be like to be invisible. If this describes you, welcome aboard.
